According to a 2003 study conducted by
the National Center for Statistics and
Analysis, commissioned by the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration,
1,725,000 young drivers (ages 16-20) were
involved in accidents. Of those involved
in accidents, 520,000 were injured and
7,452 were killed. Many of these
accidents were due to irresponsible and
unsafe driving habits.
